A busy year for Specialplast Group

They have been producing high-quality soft plastic products for 70 years. Now Specialplast Wensbo is making a fresh start with acquisitions, a new graphic profile, and a new CEO.
Per-Erik Levinsson is not a new face – since 2010 he has Site Manager at Specialplast Wensbo in Gislaved, but since last year he is the new CEO.
The former CEO, Fredrik Anell, is now working as Group CEO in the former Plastskräddaren - now called Specialplast Group SG AB. Beside Specialplast Wensbo the group also contains the latvian company SIA Specialplast situated in Daugavpils (Latvia).
- Almost one year ago the Group purchased all shares in the Latvian company where it until then was a part owner. At the same with the purchase we have updated the logotype and graphic profile for the group, Per-Erik says.
Specialplast is also implementing ISO 28000 during 2025 - due to a request from a key customer.
Nowadays Specialplast Group is supporting the market both from Gislaved and Daugavpils with production - chosing the place based on time and complexity. The group also has development offices in Lund and Mölndal.
– Here in Gislaved we have three cleanrooms serving the Medical customers with high quality demands and one cleaner room with two production lines where we produce for our Norwegian customer Laerdal Medical in Stavanger, Per-Erik says.
Laerdal is producing intelligent manikins for education of doctors, nurses and emergency personnel. Specialplast has for a long time been delivering parts for these manikins.
– We are also producing their hygenic disposable mouth covers for CPR, Per-Erik says.
